Next FPAC Meeting On Proposed Finksburg Plan And Water Resources Update!!!!

When: Thursday October 28th at 7 p.m. 

Where:  Sandy Mount United Methodist Church

 

 

Water Resources Update:

The next general membership meeting of FPAC, Inc. is set for Thursday night, October 28th. Tom Devilbiss, county hydrologist is scheduled to attend and discuss water quality and quantity in the Finksburg area. Tom will address the needs of the county regarding water and the prospects of another drought.  Also slated to speak is Steve Nelson, water resources specialist for the county.  Steve will speak about stream water quality.

 

 

Proposed Finksburg Plan Update:

The next Carroll County Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is scheduled for November 8th, 7 p.m. in room 003 of the county office building.  This is another workshop and no public comment is allowed under the rules.  The topic will be the proposed Finksburg Corridor plan and the proposed campus zoning designation for property adjacent to Gerstell Academy.  FPAC President John Lopez will also be updating everyone on the latest with the plan and employment campus at the next general membership meeting.  We will also recap the October 12th county meeting held at Sandymount Elementary School.

 

Trash pickup: 

The next trash pickup is this Saturday, 8 a.m. on Route 91 between Route 140 and Deer Park Road.  Please come out to help cleanup the neighborhood.  We meet in the Finksburg Shopping Center parking lot near Masci’s restaurant.

11/3- Board meeting, 7 p.m.

11/18- Note general membership meeting date due to Thanksgiving holiday.

12/16- General membership meeting date due to Christmas Holiday.

ü         Mark Your Calendar: General Council meetings are the 4th Thursday of the month at the Sandy Mount United Methodist Church. Meetings begin at 7 PM. Board meetings are usually held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. 

 

 

Yearly Membership Fee: $10 per Household, $25 per business

Dues: You can still pay your 2004 dues. The organization uses money from dues to pay for the printing and mailing costs of this newsletter and other mailings.
